Uses
For levelling uneven floors on:
- Concrete
- Mortar
- Prefab floors, etc.
Caution
Not recommended for external use. Not suitable for use in areas subject to standing water. Ensure that at least 75% of the tile is in contact with the adhesive.
Surface Preparation
Priming
The purpose of priming is to seal the substrate to prevent air release from forming bubbles and pinholes in the surface of RAK Flow
The substrate should be primed using a 1:1 max of clean water and RAK Bond-PVA which should be brushed into the substrate using sti brush and allowed to dry before
Coverage
2 kg/m at a thickness of 1 mm application of RAK Flow.
All the supports should be sound, clean, free of dust, dirt, plaster, greasy matter, etc. In hot weather it is recommended to moisten the slab prior to application. New concrete should be at least 21 days old.
Application
Mix the powder with clear water at a ratio of 6-7 litres of water for 25 kg of powder. Mixing can be carried out with an electric drill with spiral mixer. Mix the powder with water to obtain a lump free mixture. For better application in hot conditions, we recommend a special latex solution to mix with the powder in order to delay the setting time. The latex solution is available on request. Pour the mixed material on to the area and spread at desired thickness using a notched trowel or with similar equipment. This material is recommended for a maximum thickness of 8 mm.
Curing
RAK Flow does not require curing; however it should be protected from direct sunlight. Air blowing over the surface of freshly laid material will dry it too fast, causing it to crack.
Cleaning
Tools should be cleaned with water after use.
Notes
- Do not prepare more material that can be laid within the flow time of the product i.e-10 mins @ 35°C
- Do not apply in a strongly ventilated room, as the mixing water will evaporate immediately before the resin can act.
- Protect from direct sunlight
Possible Toppings
Any glued flooring can be applied: Bituminous, Neoprene,Vinyl or acrylic, Resins
Shelf Life
Up to 12 months in unopened bags kept in suitable storage conditions away from direct sunlight and rainfall.
